When we dreamed up Louie's Coffee House, the goal was simple: bring really great coffee to Council Bluffs. But from the beginning, we knew it was never just about the coffee.
Born and raised in Council Bluffs, this community has always been home to us. It's where we grew up, where we've built multiple local businesses, and where we're now raising our own family. We wanted Louie's to be another way to give back to the community that's given us so much.
Our vision was to create more than another stop in your morning routine. We wanted a place to sit down, stay awhile, run into familiar faces, and connect with the people around you. A coffee shop that shows up at local events, supports other small businesses, and brings our community together.
And when we say Louie's is family-owned and operated, we mean the whole family! In fact, Louie's is named after our youngest, our siblings work here, and our staff has absolutely become a big part of our family. Stop by on any given day, and there's a good chance you'll spot one of our kids wiping down tables, restocking cups, or just getting in the way (in the best way, of course).
Small Beginnings, Bigger Dreams.
Before our Council Bluffs coffee house was ready, our journey began just down the road in Underwood, Iowa. That small-town location gave us the opportunity to find our footing, introduce our handcrafted drinks and housemade flavors, and build the foundation for what Louie's would become.
As our Council Bluffs location grew and new opportunities came along, we made the bittersweet decision to close our Underwood location. But that chapter helped pave the way for something new: the Louie's Coffee Truck!
Now, we're taking your favorite Louie's drinks on the road, popping up at local businesses, markets, community events, and private celebrations throughout Council Bluffs, Omaha, and beyond.
